This is an American Heart Association (AHA) CPR course for healthcare providers such as first responders, nurses, EMTs, firefighters, police officers, dental professionals and healthcare students. It can also be taken by nonprofessionals who would like a formal skills assessment. Topics covered include: infant, child and adult CPR, choking emergencies, and AED use. Textbook is required. Textbooks is the Basic Life Support Manual, ISBN #978-1-61669-407-4. It can be purchased from the Lakeland Bookstore by going online at https://bookstore.lakelandcc.edu/timber/college, or buy from another online vendor. Lakeland will ship books to you, so allow enough time for yours to arrive. Electronic cards (e-cards) will be e-mailed within one week of class to each student valid for two years.
