An Introduction Into Understanding the LGBTQ+ Community (Ethics)

This class will be held on campus. Gain important basic information about the LGBTQ+ community, terminology, current challenges and how they impact mental health services, and examples of situations that community members encounter. Learn how to interact in an ethical way with clients, refer them to appropriate services, and identify resources to prove to the community and their families. (3 Hours) Early-bird deadline to save $10: April 13. (3 Hours) Provides ethics continuing education for counselors and social workers. Can be taken by nurses, and can be taken for ethics hours by speech-language pathologists and audiologists. Instructor: Michael McDonnell, LSW.
