Enhance your management skills through this program for supervisors, managers and emerging leaders. Nothing creates success like a solid foundation. You’ll get tips and techniques you won’t get anywhere else for managing time and increasing productivity. Whether you are managing your own time or others’ time, come away with proven tips to put into practice on Monday morning.

Managing Generations in the Workplace: Part 3
Get an understanding of managing workers in different generations in the workplace. Discover what motivates each generation at work, what incentives they respond to, and what messages they value.

Generations X and Y are significantly different than the Boomer generation. Each generation has different expectations and styles of work in the workplace.
Come explore the characteristics of the different generations in the workplace. Discover the current motivations of Boomers, Gen Xers and Gen Yers and what messages they value.

Identify practical, how-to tips and techniques for managing Boomers, Gen X and Gen Y in the workplace.

About Your Instructors
The Supervisory & Leadership Certificate is provided by Riverside Community College, Riverside, California.

Sally Klauss, MBA, CPCC, has an extensive background in management, employee training and development, total quality management and business management. She is also a leadership coach specializing in management development. She has experience teaching this program face-to-face for Riverside Community College.

William A. Draves is a business and management speaker, author and consultant. As the CEO of an organization, he created a virtual office to improve productivity and time management for his staff. He co-authored with Julie Coates the book Nine Shift: Work, Life and Education in the 21st Century. The book’s central theme is the productive use of time in today’s workplace.

Kassia Dellabough has written on the subjects of managing generationally and generational learning styles. She speaks all over the United States and Canada on the subject and runs a four-day intensive training institute for professionals on the subject. She considers generational differences as an important facet of diversity. She is a qualified Meyers-Briggs Assessment Administrator, has a Neurolinguistic Practitioner Certification, and is a Global Career Development Facilitator certified by the GCDF Council for Credentialing & Education.

About Online Learning

Online learning is a fun, enjoyable and very productive way to learn. Millions of people are learning online each year. You will engage with and get to know the instructor and other participants. You may make friends. It's easy. It's fun.

How the Course Works

It's easy to participate in this online course! An email invitation will be sent by the Wednesday prior to the course start date with details to login and manage the course. You will be given a web address to go to enter the classroom along with a password. Use your email address and password to gain access.

Once inside the online classroom, here's what you can expect.

Participate when you want
You can participate any time of day or evening. The online classroom is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There are no live real-time requirements or meetings. You decide when you participate. For the best learning, participants should log into the course on two to three different days of the week.

What you will do

The content (readings, audio lectures, slides) and self-quizzes are accessible for the entire course, so you can work ahead or go back and review again at your convenience.

Discussion
The discussion for each unit lasts one week. All comments are made in writing (no audio required) and can be made at any time of the day or night. Your instructor will log into the discussion area at least once a day and answer questions, make comments and respond to comments by you and the other participants. We encourage you to make two or three comments each day to maximize your learning and enjoyment of the course.
